Safety is the primary concern when working in any machining environment. Manual milling machines are primarily used to machine flat and angled surfaces by feeding a workpiece into a rotating cutting tool to remove material. Students will learn proper procedures in the safe operation of the manual mill including cutting tool nomenclature, and speeds and feeds. Operation of indexing and rotary tables. Students will learn advance procedures to machine complex parts and assemblies.
